Overview
Cotton gin; a machine that separates cotton fibres from the seed boll. Production of the gin (‘gin’ was an old term for ‘engine’) by US inventor Eli Whitney in 1793 was a milestone in textile history.

Uganda has one of the best climates in Africa that is moderate with cool temperatures, and receives rainfall throughout the year.
