Animal Production and Management: An Overview
The program is 3 years at Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences- Arapai Campus. The program aims at training students in Animal Production and Management practices focusing on areas such as Animal anatomy and physiology as relates to aspects of nutrient acquisition, growth, maintenance, reproduction and animal product production. The program highlights various livestock enterprises such as beef, dairy, poultry, small ruminants, and swine as well as value addition of basic animal products. It encompasses an in-depth analysis of nutrition, disease management, housing, genes and genetic banking and general animal management systems of therefore mentioned livestock enterprises.
